ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve

The APTERR Secretariat team, led by Dr. Choomjet Karnjanakesorn, General Manager along with Mr. Aro Kasakawa, Japanese Expert, and the APTERR Staff, visited Kubota Farm, Chonburi, Thailand, on 7 August 2025.

The APTERR Secretariat team visited several zones at the Kubota Farm, the first educational and experiential modern farm in Southeast Asia, where farmers and visitors can explore and experience modern agricultural innovations. The precision rice farm and crop rotation zone demonstrated precision farming, including zero broadcast solutions, an automatic direction system utilising GNSS technology and agricultural drones. In this zone, the APTERR Secretariat team participated in the activity to check whether the rice seedlings were ready to receive nutrients from fertilisers.
