ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve
The 5th Meeting of ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve (APTERR) was held on 3-4 May 2017 in Bali, Indonesia. The Meeting was organised by the APTERR Secretariat while hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia.
The representatives from the APTERR Secretariat attended the 37th Meeting of the ASEAN Food Security Reserve Board (AFSRB) on 26 – 27 April 2017 in Makati City, the Philippines. The Meeting was attended by the representatives from ASEAN Member States except Brunei Darussalam and Indonesia due to the unforeseeable circumstances.
The APTERR Secretariat organised the ‘Working Meeting on the Remedied Financial Management Plan of the APTERR Secretariat and the Implementation of APTERR Tier 1 Programme’ on 15-16 March 2017at the Office of Agricultural Economics (OAE), Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) in Bangkok, Thailand. There were the APTERR Council members and the delegates from the ASEAN Plus Three member countries participating in the meeting except Cambodia and Indonesia due to their unavoidable
On 17 January 2017, Mr.Chanpithya Shimphalee, the General Manager (GM) of the APTERR Secretariat, welcomed Mr. Akira Karasawa, the Director-General for Crop Production Bureau, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) of Japan and the APTERR Council member, together with his team; Mr. Yasushi Uchikawa, the Managing-Director, Grain Trade and Operation Division, Ms. Nozomi Sugitani, an officer of Grain Trade and Operation Division, and Mr. Takashi Inoue, the first secretary at the Embassy of Japan in Bangkok
The APTERR Secretariat was pleased to welcome Ms. Mi-Ra Kim, Assistance Manager, and Ms. Jiyoon Kim, Staff of the Grain Aid Department of the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (AT), the Republic of Korea (ROK) to visit the APTERR Secretariat’s office during 6-7 September 2016 to enhance the cooperation and collaboration among the two parties.
