ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve
On 16 September, in the morning, the delegates from APTERR Secretariat attended the field trip in Nanning, Guangxi, the People’s Republic of China (P.R. China). The excursion was organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) of P.R. China and the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region as part of the 7th ASEAN-China Agricultural Cooperation Forum’s programme.
On 17 July 2023, the APTERR Secretariat visited C.P. Thai Rice Co., Ltd., Ayutthaya province of Thailand to foster agricultural knowledge-sharing for fortifying food security in the region.
On 7 April 2023, Dr. Choomjet Karjanakesorn, General Manager of APTERR, and Mr. Akinori Ando, Japanese Expert (replacement of Mr. Toshiki Tojo) paid a courtesy call on Mr. Chantanon Wannakejohn, Secretary-General of the Office of Agricultural Economics (OAE) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives and the APTERR Council member.
On 10 March 2023, the representatives from APTERR Secretariat, led by Dr. Choomjet Karnjanakesorn, General Manager, together with Mr. Toshiki Tojo, Japanese Expert, and APTERR Staff attended the Big Cleaning Day event of fiscal year 2023 organised by the Office of the Secretary, Office of Agricultural Economics (OAE), Thailand in order to clean up and prepare the office for the upcoming 44th anniversary of the OAE. The event started with the opening remarks of Mr.Chantanon Wannakejohn, Secretary General of OAE, which participated by various divisions such as International Agricultural Economics Division, AFSIS Secretariat, and more.
